Long winter - Finally back together and on the road.

Chrome by Liquid Pain - Thanks Jerry! LED's really set her off - turning heads day AND night now. Ran the LED's Saturday night in small town USA - everyone was stopping in their tracks to look and wave as I went by, cars where stopping in the middle of the road blocking traffic - awesome feeling!!! LED's are remote controlled - 6 different colors, pulse, strobe, rolling colors in both - with Jerry's chrome everywhere, what a site to behold! My 3 teenage boys say "That's Sick" - I think that's a good thing :a18:

I know that running blue and/or red could create some unwanted stops - but a couple of cop buddies tell me its not written, only visual on bulbs and there's no direct line of site to them unless your on your back or bent over.

Great Site - I've learned a lot by reading and watching what others are doing here - a lot of great ideas out there. Seems to be something different everyday - keep up all the great work!

I need to get camera on the tri-pod for pics w/o night flash for full effect of LED's - can't hold still enough to keep from blurring the pics. Wish I could figure out how to upload a video - keep getting error message even though file is less than allowed - says to contact Admin? Help….:dontknow:

Hope you all enjoy - I am!

Looks really great  Good Job :congrats:
Looks great. Glad to see another KC guy on here. I wish I had so many 9's down here where I am.

Haven't riden with another 9 yet - I've only seen 1 or 2 on the road. I have seen the KC area member's on the site though. It would be fun to get us all together - haven't checked the "Missouri" board for a while - maybe there's one coming up....

Pynikal got together with some other guys a week or so ago, I hope we can get a Missouri ride going sometime in May or early June.

Jerry filled me in on 3DDIM - a week later and it would be a deal. I've two boys graduating that week and being married isn't so bad. Maybe next year pending graduation dates again.
LED's

Hi. I'm very new to the "9" and buying one Friday after selling my Vmax of 12 years. Cool Mods and the LED interest me. Was it a Kit? If so would you recommend it, whatever it is? How did the install go? With so many suppliers and line and on Ebay It's hard to decide which is best. Can you assist?

LED's are from Boogey Lights www.boogey.com. I worked with Christine - she was very helpful after I sent her a pic's of my 9. Watch the installation videos on their web site if you're going the self install, they help a lot.

I received the light kits on a Friday, mapped out where I wanted to install for an hour or so Friday night (again, watch the videos - yeah, they're all HD's but you'll get jest of where you need to install). Pull your seat, tank and head light cowling first thing. I taped the lights on where I thought I wanted them and temp wired them up to make sure they looked right.

Took about 4 hours Saturday morning by myself and I was done. I will probably relocate the lights on the rear wheel - I mounted them up on the side of the fender frame up inbetween the frame the fender right under the seat, they need to be closer to the rims to get more light reflection.

Braided SS wire covering and chrome zip ties are not part of the kits, you have to ask for them. I ordered extra primer, chrome ties (standard kits are all black) and extra spade connectors both blue and yellow. I had to make a trip out for more heat shrink tubing. Need to order from Boogey lights if you can, theirs has a heat activated sealer in it that makes it more water tight. What I was able to find at O'Reily's or Radio shack doesn't.

I'm very happy with them and do recommend them 100% and would also recommend getting the remote set-up.

Good luck
