Hey guys, I was curious about this;

I like to look at a lot of the how to's to get ideas and I noticed that on some of the older posts (Lamonster Throttle Lock, $100 backrest mod, Alien109's bacrest mod, etc) the pictures are gone. Why does this happen?

Might be due to server migration.

i think ure find that theres a time limit after that those servers dump

as well as members themselves rearranging their pics on whatever site the hosted them on, meaning if you move pic from one album to another AFTER you posted a link to said pic the pic will disappear from the original post or deleting them entirely.

Which is why it's good to upload the pictures to your album on here and then link them from that for how-to's. Wherever the forum goes the pictures stay, and if you lose, close or change your Photobucket account the pictures are still here. Photobucket and probably other picture hosting sites will close accounts after a period of inactivity.
