Oh yeah, I've pushed through a lot of them. This one was so violent it actually broke my arm. But you know it is what it is hopefully the bike isn't too far gone if it is I'm still going to buy it back from the insurance I think. If the wife lets me with all the projects I got she probably won't let me. Which means I'm going to get a brand new one or brand new new to me one. Sorry to hear all y'all had these problems too. They should be transferring me down to Jacksonville tomorrow. But I got to find out who has my freaking gun.

Sorry about your get-off. That sounds horrible and the damage to your leg and arm sounds horrible. I suppose it will be a while before you get back in the saddle. Best of luck with your injuries and your bike.

Yeah it appears that Geico totaled my bike. That doesn't surprise me however, I look through the app and didn't see anything that was evidence of totaling my bike. First thing I saw was the pictures. There are no pictures of my motorcycle. Which means there are no pictures of damage. There are just a few pictures of blurry screenshots I guess of parts but you can't really make them out. Also there's no record that a license motorcycle mechanic ever looked at my bike. So Friday the plan is to go look at it and take some pictures. I'll post them up if anyone wants to see them. While I'm there I'm also taking off all my aftermarket parts. And the wheel that goes to my '06 9.
I may have a new bike before I can get back on it but believe you me I will be back and it will be at 9!

Gotta get my clutch hand working first... shifting ain't difficult..

Ouch! I always tell my friends that "chicks dig scars!" I wish that I could have got to my bike before the insurance company got a hold of it. There were a lot of aftermarket parts on it that are not available anymore that would have made a lot of people happy.

The crazy thing is how much it flexed to raise the gas tank up off the frame. At first I thought it broke the tabs that the rubber isolators sit in when the tank is sitting down the front of the frame. But none of those tabs are broke it simply flexed its way out. You can't really see it in any of the pictures but you can see it in person, there are clear dents that are about 3 in in diameter and at least half an inch deep from tank slap. And that's what broke my left arm!

Thought about taking these off but I really just wanted to leave...I left the exhaust, rear wheel and ECM.. maybe BCS will do a discount for repeat customers.

I did take the camera system off. I have everything from the bike laying in the grass after it cleared the asphalt, the tow truck driver picking it up and activating the g sensor, to the bike being dropped off at the copart for my insurance company. However, the actually crash was corrupted and shows 0 KB of data! I can only imagine that happened because of how violent the head shake was.

I have a hard time posting photos from my phone. If you wait a minute, then hit preview, you can see what has been uploaded.
I've found that if you use the attachment link(📎) instead the pic icon, it tends to work. I just forget when I haven't posted pics in a while..like 3-5 minutes..

These bikes bikes wouldn't shake if you kicked the handlebar with your foot , let alone put you down.
I agree. The amount of rake and trail on these bikes makes them pretty darn stable. Now, when I jump off my Nine and onto my B-King, the forks on that are so steep, it came from the factory with a steering damper. And even with that, I can occasionally feel it trying to start a shake.

Frotosride, just out of curiosity, did your insurance say anything about the car tire on it? That's always been one of the unknowns when folks have talked about going that way.

Hope you are healing up well!
