Figured in case some of you guys saw it on the news, I'd
let ya know that I'm fine and at home recovering. I was
running lights and sirens and a vehicle didn't see me in an
intersection and t-boned me. Nothing's broken, just some
contusions and scrapes, etc. Hopefully be up and running
again in the next few days.

The bike held up ok, but I ripped the whole front end off
her Lexus. Lol.

Glad your ok, glad it wasnt the 9. Cager should lose liscense for at least a year.
I agree, not only because I am a ride, but it just pisses me off to no end for an emegency vehicle come up behind cars with sirens blarring and the idiots in the cars just sit there. I wish every emengency vehicle had a camera and could take pics and send out huge tickets for the morons that don't get out of the way.

Glad your ok Kev. Take it easy for a few days, make sure it is all good before you get back on that ride.

If I had seen the pictures before reading you thread, I would have thought you would have had some broken bones. Really glad to read it did not turn out that way. Also, it's about time that the bike gets the better hand in a conflict with a car.
Again, good to hear you are doing well.

Glad to hear that you made it through almost unscathed. It is amazing how so many people don't put driving as their first priority while they are operating a vehicle. Rest up and get better. Take care

Kevin, I was just commenting on another thread how the Virginia board was slow this week but we don't need this kind of news to get things going. Certainly am glad you are going to be ok, mighty fortunate. Take time and heal. Hope to see you on a ride this summer, Take care.

LMAO.

Well, in all honesty, I didn't clear the intersection as thoroughly
as I should have. I saw all the other cars stopping for me, and
put too much confidence in that, without making sure that
every car stopped.

I'm not the one responsible for issuing summonses in a case like
this. A special accident reconstruction team investigates officer-
involved accidents when the officer is running code. It is up to
that team to file any necessary charges.

Thanks to everyone for all the well wishes. I'm feelin' pretty stiff
and sore today, but am getting around ok. Look forward to getting
back to work and getting back on the bike. Hopefully early next
week.

Thanks again guys.
