We made these videos last year to help install the Kuryakyn grips on a VTX. Install should be about the same for the M109. It might give you the courage to do it yourself:

i'm dloading them right now. talk about good timing...my kury iso grips, stilleto's, and mirrors were waiting on my doorstep when i got home today! i've never done this before, so i'm sure they will help a bunch.
