I just install cyclehouse 2" bones. Looks great. When I let off the throttle in 1st gear and there is some engine braking I get a significant and new shutter/vibration that lasts for a second til the bike slows down. Feels like its gonna shake the gas tank loose. It doesn't happen in any other gear during deceleration. Then the issue goes entirely away after riding the bike about 5 minutes...very odd. It almost feels like its coming from the rear tire, hub, shaft drive area. Any other experiences like this or suggestions? Thanks

I put 2 1/4" in mine and have put nearly 5000 miles on with no abnormal vibrations to speak of. :dontknow: Sorry I can't add anything constructive only to say so far, so good for me!

Same here, mine's lowered 2" or slightly more and it's never had any new vibrations show up. I also had an air ride on it and rode it from all the way down to all the way up and no abnormal vibrations.

Are you sure everything's installed right? Maybe you left one of the bolts loose or installed them backwards from what they were before.:dontknow: Just an off the wall thought? No vibes from mine...8)

Did 2" Yana Shiki last week and put 300mi since without an issue...are you sure all of the bolt bushings were put back...? If you did this at home check around to make sure there are no extra parts which may have come off...the one bushing looks exactly like a socket.

If this problem started happening immediately after you installed the bones, that would point to something that you did or did not do.

I would totally retrace my steps backwards through the install steps. My first thought is that you didn't install one or both tubular shaped sleeves that are supposed to be removed from the old bones and inserted into the new bones.

Check that first!

The vibration has gone away entirely. After a couple of short rides there now is no vibration on decel. The directions I got from DLP on the cyclehouse 2" bones (and the 3" bones) is that you do not use the bushing/sleeve from the original bones.....so I did not use them. You are supposed to use them on the 1.5, 2.25, and 2.75 bones. They said to just grease the ends and install them... Does this seem wrong to you guys? If there was too big a difference between the diameter of the bolts and the diameter of the hole in the bones, the L and R bones could have been at slight different lengths... could have given the vibration. It does seem to be running well, though. Maybe I'll call DLP again.

I'm guessing you already checked that the bolt fitted snugly through the hole in the bones, and there was no room to use the sleeve.

Unless you forgot to put back a bolt, it can only be a coincidence that your engine is vibrating on decel.

That's what I was thinking when I read the others. I had the Cycle house 2.25 and there I used the bushings and I didn't with the 2" Yana's. It's was so long ago I couldn't remember but I think you're right on this. Glad to hear it went away.
