Hi All

Bought myself a Strike Genius GPS. Local shop had a clearance sale and I saved over $100 on it --> http://www.strike.com.au/products/Motorcycle-GPS/Strike-Genius-Motorcycle-GPS

Unfortunately the steel handlebar mount it comes with is only 1" and therefore is too small. The search button has been very useful in terms of where to mount, how to install the 12v socket, pulling off the various panels, wiring, etc. But there is nothing on the actual mount used. I want a stainless steel / chrome mount therefore I am not interested in the $5 bicycle mounts sold on Ebay. Also, whilst the DIY ideas I have found on this forum are excellent, I would prefer something a tad classier looking.

I have narrowed it down to these two, and the second is $20 cheaper. So, does anyone have any experience with either the

or the

Universal mount sold by Motomount -->http://www.motomount.net/universalmount.htm

Thanks in advance

Peter

I like the stainless one pictured, I would buy the better one, since saving a few dollars on a mount could mean loosing the GPS on the road.

That stainless steel is really sharp:bigthumbsup:
I bought the tomtom rider back in 2007 and the original mount has served the purpose without a doubt but looks no where as nice as the one here pictured.
