So lets see, it's april 17th and what do we know as of today?

Hard Krome will supposedly start shipping sideburners and their other pipes on may 5th, since they will almost certainly be the first to market I'm guessing I'll pick one up just to get rid of the stock pipes for now.

Beyond that I've sent e-mails about the M109 to jardine, BUB, Vance & Hines, D&D and supertrapp.
The only one I heard back from was BUB saying they do plan to make pipes but it wont be till later on in the year.

The thing about this bike and this motor is the amount of air it is capable of moving if all restrictions are removed, this is essentially a 1783cc V-rod motor that's tuned a little more conservatively from the factory, with the right 2 into 1, ram air type intakes and a proper map done on a dyno a 20hp gain at the wheels will not be a problem.
I know that may seem a bit optimistic, but this thing is corked up really bad at both ends, once it's opened up, the fuel requirement will rise sharply along with all the extra airflow, meet it with the right map and you have a whole new animal.

This bike is gonna need a BIG pipe.

Talked to vance and hines today, the rep claimed he didnt know of pipes currently in the works but said they had been averaging 8-10 phone calls a day for the last 3 weeks on M109 pipes, because of that, he said expect to see something on the website within a couple weeks.

Also heard back from supertrapp, they said no plans but he would pass it on to product development ::)

I am going with the hardkromes for now, but look forward to see what vance and hines does. I have 2 1800 vtx's, one with sideburners and one with vance and hines. I had the same guy do custom maps and the vance and hines are stronger across the board. They make a great set of pipes!

I was wondering the same thing about loosing back pressure. Is it like a snowmobile with rave valves you take that rave valve spring and spring cap leaving the exhaust wide open you loose bottom end torque. This is on a two stroke I don't know if they react the same.

You wont lose any bottom, not with the only oversquare DOHC V2 with 4 1/2 inch wide pistons ever built :D
The stock exhaust and intakes are made solely for one purpose, to pass emissions.
