I did something stupid! I let a friend help me try and get rid of the scratches on the gas tank. He convinced me to use a buffer, and well, those of you with that experience probably know where I'm going with this one. What is the best way to get it to shine again? I feel like I should just take to a paint shop and let them fix it.

Sincerely,

What did it do when you used the buffer... is the paint all dull and ugly now, from the clear coat being burned off from the buffer, or what?

Makes sure that I won't ever take it to a "professional detailer" now... as I know they love to use those, to save time... instead of doing it by hand, the correct way...
