was setting oil level on my m109r2, was reinstalling rear drain plug when it would not tighten, pulled it back out and noticed treads striped, darnit..
Does anyone know if i can get away with puting an over sized drain plug in? selftaper style. Or does this mean I have to remove the oil pan and replace it. Saw something on you tube poss using a time sert insert..

Can the oil pan come off with out pulling motor?

thanks for you help....

I'm wondering if you could use a helicoil drill it and screw one in that what we do for spark plug in the yamaha 100cc when we strip out the aluminum head on the engine go to a auto parts store and see if they have one to fit your drain plug
