What kind of noises are they and what part of the bike are they coming from?

Mine makes several noises I had never heard from a bike before but they are normal (I am guessing at what causes them):
- When you turn ignition on, you can here the fuel pump pressurizing the system
- When you first start it, maybe the timing and fuel mixture changes around so you here the pace of the idle changing a bit.

Of course there is the thump...click...thump...click kind of sound at idle but you get used to that after a while.

Yeah, that is the Suzuki AFI (Automatic Fast Idle). Suzuki really seems to love putting initials on everything.

It's like an automatic choke. All FI bikes have this, but or course it is called something different for each brand.

I here a tin sound under tank scrapping. :confused:Â
If you are hearing a little squeal when the ignition turns on, that is actually the SET valve opening. It is a little noisy for sure. It sounds like a metallic scaping sound, but it only lasts about a second.

Most noticeable wood bees the front of the engine chain drive and
counterbalancer and valvetrain whinings. They're pretty noisy.
The VTX has the same break-in noises.Maybe even morse.
In neutral at a stop, you can hear the internal buzzin of gear drives and
such.Pull in the clutch, and it diminishes some.
Mine is dissipating slowly,as is the sticky and clunky shifting.
Proper break-in will let the Rings seat faster.
This engine will probably always have some internal noises.
My Rune has the same thing only quiter and more of a slight
ticking, which wood be the valves working efficiently.
