Quick question.

Whats the difference between the Stebel horn which is $54.99 Chrome, and the Stebel Nautilus which is $149.95.

One is in the menu Air Horn, and the other one is in the Horn menu on DLP website?

I'm betting it's a mis-type......Chrome = 54.99 and standard aka Black = 49.99 Not 149.99 as the Stebel that everyone here is using IS the Nautilus black or chrome....Call and I bet they will fix that...lol

Just go with the black one. It is covered up so no sense in spending the extra money. You should do the HID at the same time. It does not take much longer.

I just got my stebel horn yesterday. Gonna install it when I get home this morning. Beings that I have relocated my tach into the headlight housing and plan on getting an HID kit in the future there is no room for all three. My horn will be installed on the right side. Damn thing is still going to be as loud as a woman.

I would keep the stocker in the loop in case the Stebel/relay/fuse would ever fail. That is how I wire them up.

the horn came with a wiring kit. just glanced at it and I think the stock horn is still in use. It was a sudden purchase since I had to order a new kickstand (due to being backed into) going on a road trip on Friday, needed the stand fast so I just did over night for both.
Was really thinking about the plug and play. Could not remember who made it (till I read this) and I'm pretty sure would not have gotten it on time and installed for a Friday morning departure. Also installing 50 watt fog lights for driving lights on Thurs. Everything for that came right around $55. Can't beat that price

The Deluxe wiring kit that comes with the horn is some wire and connectors (not the better connectors, at least when I got mine). Plus mine is in a high temp loom. And if I remember correctly there is not enough wire because our bike is so big. I hope you get all of your mods installed on time before your trip. Have a blast and ride safe. :doorag:

what a PITA this thing was. splicing into the factory horn was not hard, routing the wires was not hard, understanding the instructions when you have very little electrical skills and confidence was not that hard.
The hard part was, trying to figure out how to install this damn thing on the right side. I had to relocate my SET valve. Make two brackets. (jacked the first one up) I got it all done 3 mins past the time I wanted to get done. I lower the bike and look. it is sitting right on the swing arm. This thing is going to smash the battery box due to the travel. Two more hours trying to reposition this dang horn. Every time I would think I had a good spot, the side panels would not fit. So it's back to the way I had it in the first place. Took it for a quick ride. So far so good. Fridays road trip will be the true test.

Would I do this again???? Yeah. I love working on my bike.

It has a different model number and I've searched the internet where it also shows up for around $150.00. I can't find any site that states it has a difference.

the 149.95 is the "show chrome" stebel that will be visible when mounted. i have seen it on a number of different sites. i guess it has more bling.
