NICE FOLKS zuk rider

It was about 6:45 pm sun starting to settle, cruising on 41 .S.
Minding my own business cruise @ 70 mph passed a small pack of
6 Harley's doing about 60 , one was a CVO yellow fatboy.... that
just had to blimp throttle as I cruise by....
As they slipped from view in my mirrors , a few minutes had passed
and I notice a head light coming from the rear
As the bike is cruising pass he blimps, he already had the roll jump,
by 1 or 2 bikes so it was a roll contest to ruffly 100/ 105 which we stayed even.
Then we backed off , slowed to about 55/60 this time both were ready
I dropped into 3 rd did the blimp both bikes even, He flinch first I nailed it
About 3/4 way through 3 rd I started pulling, shifted watching the road
ahead, and glancing down @ tach in 4 th still wondering where he was
he finally comes into view in left mirror tachs reading 5000 by 6200 in 4th
My guess was he might have been 7 to 10 bike length back ( guessing)
At that time I could see how the spread was going as I dropped it into
5 TH & let off
He cruised passed drifting & motioned to pull over
Said my bike was sweet & first one he has seen , so far no other cruiser have been a challenge to him.
Said he had just left a Harley shop that had a dyno drag race machine
and shamed them with 122 hp reading & which he knew was NOT right
ET ( Dyno Drag ) of 10.1 1/4
OH by the way it Was Black glad it wasn't a red one
Nice guy, he then went on I-75 , I continued on with the
Big Rocket

PS: little event to keep you
guys all warm & fuzzy over the winter
hear its starting to snow up there

Watch out for the :cop: when your having fun out there
& ride safe

ok; i know i'll get alot of personal comments with the word "stupid" involved, but, who makes the rocket 3?
As above, Triumph. 2,300 CC inline triple monster. Pistons the same size as those in the DODGE Viper. Pulls 1.2 G in a straight line when nailed !! First mass produced bike with a 240 back tyre.

Also ugly, and roughly finished / presented engine appearance. And not a V TWIN !!

OZcruizer

P.S No 'stupid' here. "There are no stupid questions, only stupid people" Mr GARRISON - South Park

Prolly not...but let this be a lesson...when you're out cruzin for a kill...the RocketIII is NOT it. Repeat after me...I will not hunt Rocket III's. Now if you go hunting one...and get SPANKED!!! then we'll apply the "stupid" emblem as necessary...Nuff Said! :joke:

So true. I hope no 2 cylinder M109R goes hunting for any bike with 3 or 4 cylinders. :joke:

All I know is there's a guy on this Board who traded his Rocket III in on an M109! I tried to get him to give us a comparison of the two bikes, but all he really said was that "they are very different bikes".

Maybe when he gets a little more experience with the 109 he'll decide to "wax more eloquent" about the differences.
