Ok, I did the tach relocation last night and managed to get a few small scratches on the riser. Are there any secrets to removing these without polishing the whole thing? Also I noticed that there is a place on one side where it looks like some of the clearcoat is peeling. Is this something I should point out to the stealership?

I am in the same boat...  I talked to a bike paint shop...  And the only way to get them out is sanding down the scratches...  Which means you would have to do the whole riser.    Maybe someone here knows a better way...  I sanded down the aluminum bar that the tach was attached to, and that took an hour, with wet and dry sand paper...

This guy suggested I just get them chromed...  I like that idea, now that are tachs are off, I think it would look really good...

Hey did you find Chrome hex nuts for the Tach???

No...couldn't find chrome hex nuts anywhere. For now I used the flat head screws and the black plastic washer that has the cap that snaps over the head to cover up the screw.
