I've seen a few guys talk about the 109 taching out at 6500 rpm and I know I've been over that without bumping the rev limiter so I went out again to be sure and this will rev up to about 7500 rpms before the rev limiter kicks in. I just found this on another site that says it hits at 7400 rpm. Just thought this was some good info.

With the simply massive 112mm pistons blasting up and down their individual 90.5mm strokes, the engine will rev till to 7400 rpm before the limiter shuts things down. Maximum power is quoted at 6200 rpm, but the bike still keeps pulling solidly till 7000 rpm if you need.

As time goes on and we start to extract some serious power from this motor, one of the keys will be raising that rev limit by about 1000rpm.
