Can anyone give me some hints about how to remove the rear inner fender to chop off the whole license plate/turn signal crap? I took the seat off, the cowl off, took the four bolts off the top that are visible and the four bolts holding on the chrome fender supports. It's still tight as can be. I dont want to force anything. Any help would be appreciated.

If you have the seat, the seat cowl, and the plastic upper rear fender off you're on the right track. The chrome struts can stay... no need to loosen them. You'll have 4 or 6 bolts up top... memory isn't serving me well right now... but there are 2 from the bottom up... one on either side of the tire that hold the plastic structure to the subframe. Remove those and you'll be in business.

I now have the outer cowl off. I had the find the two hidden bolts under the plastic side covers and the two screws underneath. I should be home free now. Thanks.
