7 is the highest setting, after that, it goes back to 1. If you can get on an angle to see it, not too visible, you'll see that the adjustment ring has notches that step up the resting point of the shock, until it reaches it's maximun length. One more click, and it's past the end and back to 1.
I like mine at 7 for maximum lean clearance, but most here seem to find that too harsh........each to their own. With a 250/160 tire combo, and 1 inch higher floorboards, I can lean pretty good without touching anything.
