is it possible to remove the rear brake caliper without removing the axle ???

yes, two bolts hold it to the bracket that is held by the axle.

I take it its OK to use basic brake cleaner to clean up the rear caliper

Yes it is, brake cleaner and a toothbrush is my preferred method. My wife gets a little ticked at me when I use her toothbrush though. :joke: Just make sure you put some caliper grease around the pistons so they are good and lubed and don't hang up.

i figure ill use fresh fluids & clean them really good. now i guess i need caliper grease. :confused:

you should be able to get those little packets of grease at any parts store there usually right at the counter where you check out.

i must have bad eyes. now i have to make a trip in the morning :-\

its to damn hot out :barf:

but today i finally found a fuse block :bigthumbsup:
& was eyeing all the stuff to make my own bottlefed setup8)
