Hi.
That noise is exactly what I started to hear last June on my 2007 '9, with 100K km on it.
Shortly after the mechanic found less than 1 L of engine oil when it was recovered from the pan.
In a few weeks the mechanics will start to make an engine autopsy to determine the noise root cause... I' m pessimistic...

I'm glad to see that the damage is much less than one could think about .

Also the crankcase was inspected?
I'm curious about the oil. You said that you had 3.3 L of oil in the engine, not far from the required 3.6 - so why did you say to check the oil level? For me 3.3 L of oil should not be low enough to cause oil starvation in the engine? Or was the oil pump that might have failed?

I've found when using Silkolene the shifting starts getting notchy faster than a lot of other oils.

Hi, how are you progressing with your engine rebuild?

My Suzuki mechanic has not even started to look at the engine and my bike is resting there from June. I'm getting frustrated over this.
