instead of the traditional saddlebags, what if there was a shelf/tray/platform/rack that attached at the location where the saddle bag supports would attach.  Have it just tall enough to clear the solo cowl, and have spots to tie off a tail bag.  I've tried, but I can't imagine a set of bags that will look good on this bike.  Just my 2 cents worth, but I would like to have someplace to stash a 6 pack of beer :evil:

That's why I use a backpack for that.

Backpack works well for me. Emailed a bunch of saddle bag manufacturers last night asking about bags for the 109. Once I have info I'll post it here.
