Folks...

I've never had a need for a radar detector on a bike before... but holy jumpin JC, do I need one now. BADLY! Otherwise, I will surely end up as somebody's cell bitch. :'( I'm too pretty to go to jail, trust me. :D

So -- Radar Detectors for the M109R... anyone got a recommendation?

I've always heard the valentine 1 was the daddy.
Have you actually used that system? I have also heard the Valentine's a good one. I am interested in real-life field experience, though.

I am especially intrigued with the heads-up display add-ons... do they actually work?
How can we help when we're locked up too ? :D
Man, I hope someone brings me cigarettes at least. :(
I have connections. I'll get you some smokes.
I decided to stretch my 109's legs last night after putting on my homemade fly screen....don't tell my wife but I had to pull out after I hit 140 mph. because I couldn't hold on anymore. I think we should reclassify this thing as a sport cruiser or something. By the way the tach read 6000 rpm at 140 mph no telling what the top speed is. Prison here I come!!!!
That kind of speed around here would lose a fella his license for the summer, and probably 30 days in the Graybar Hotel to boot.

I ain't saying I wouldn't try it... but I gotta have some detection first.

Check out this video -- looks interesting:

Escort Radar Detectors makes a cordless detector that uses 2 AA batteries. It's one of the best detectors on the market right now.Â
I have one in my truck. Check it out: http://www.escortradar.com/solo.htm
looks like I'm not the only one looking through the archives!!

I use this one also. Very good detector. Batteries last about 3 months or so. Saved me from a ticket just last night coming up over an overpass. Started going off before I got to the up-slope and as I got to the top(all the while slowing), there was Smokey Bear, LA State Police.Â

This detector is great and I'm already looking at ways to mount it on the 9'er. Has to be something secure enough to withstand occasional 100mph blasts and also the idle vibrations.Â
at those speeds the only thing you will be saying is "holy s " here comes the ticket
Wanted,
You might check out this site or ask Hal or Lamont if they offer anything.

Owned the Valentine One. Very Bulky, and i got a ticket early with it.  Bought the sensoro Silver Bullet. Haven't had a ticket since, and it runs on batteries.
I have the Escort Solo S2 cordless detector, it works and detect radar on patrol cars, but two time had happened to me that did not detect the hand pistol radars,
I have even went back and park very close where they were shotting and the Solo S2 did not make a sound, and I had it plug to the lighter.
