:D :DWell for those who have wondered to how quick your bike really is I took the liberty to ring mine out for you this evening. I am fresh in from the track, and the numbers stand as follows. The Bike is completley stock w/ 800mi
1st run: 1.807 60ft,
7.772 1/8th Mile @ 90.438

2nd run: 1.841 60ft,
7.819 1/8th Mile @ 89.623

3rd run: 1.775 60ft,
7.680 1/8th mile @91.159 Leaving the hole with a good 2 foot between the bottom of the tire and the track......

Needless to say she more than turned some sportbike owners heads, the were flipping over it....And 2 of them got good 7seconds of looking at the back end of her.

For a cruiser bike period let alone one that weighs what this one does it is impressive. A lot of modded sportbike are not this quick. And there are alot that are seconds faster, but she's quick for what she is.

7.70's is around 12.40's,50's in the 1/4 mile....But on bike you can't determine 1/4 mile time from 1/8....bikes tend to have alot more on the top end of the track....I'm still sticken to the 11.70'80's with a good launch and driver.... :D.....

I run 7.50-70 in my truck and that equates to a 12.0 truck in the quarter all day long. Though my truck weighs 5800 pounds and is not pulling near as hard on the top end as it does down bottom. My guess would be a high 11 with the bike.

I'm not an M109R owner but I do like it alot and happen to own the first Power Cruiser Suzuki made, a GV1200GL Madura. I've run it at a track and turned [email protected] 111.75 with a [email protected] 93.2 1/8 mile. I'd say the M109 is going to be a solid mid to high eleven sec. bike with a reasonably light rider. I'm 255 suited up, by the way.

Any NY area M109 owners wanna have a track day at Etown, I'd be game!

I also have a 1200 Madura and it was one of the oriiginal hot rod cruisers. Mine is an 85 and I do like it but I really love my M109R I bought April 27! It will cruise longer between gas stops, is better looking, and more comfortable.

The Hammer with a stage 1 will turn 10.30 in a quarter with a stage one kit on it. Either way you look at it, its more impressive in my book to see an M109R or a Hammer do a quartermile that quick than a sport bike running a little faster. The looks and the speed! I would love to see what the Hammer does with the S&S 106 stroker kit on it??? Are there plans for a stroker kit for the M109R?

What does the Hammer do stock? Isn't the HP and torque a lot lower on this bike than the M109R? It looks to me like its rated for 102 ft lbs of trq and 85 HP http://www.polarisindustries.com/en-us/Victory/2006Models/Hammer/FreedomEngine.htm That brings up the next question - what's included with the Stage 1 kit and what kind of numbers are we talking? I noticed the Hammer weighs 657 lbs - about 40 lbs lighter than the M109R. Just curious, that's all.

The stage one kit should be slip ons and a new chip. People have taken that huge airbox out and claim that the power jumped up even more.

Guys I can't confirm the time, I did not do it myself. There is a link on the vmc and they discuss time's there. The fastest I have been on my Hammer so far is 120 at 4000 rpm's. The red line on it is 5500 (keeping in mind it comes with a 6 speed overdrive). S&S Motors now makes a 106cid stroker kit that takes the HP to 110 and 116 ft pounds (as reported by S&Scycles.com). What type of engines does the 109 sport? IE. dual overhead cam, counter ballanced, 4 valve per cylinder ect? I know that my 05 has more horse and torque than any bike in its class but maybe the 109 is the big dog? Its a beautiful bike!

The Hammer will not take a 109M period.... I saw a stage 1 Jackpot (same engine combo as Hammer) on the dyno just the other day. Can you say 80 rwhp and 107 rwtq. 109's are laying at least 25 rwhp more than that.

Clem! Regardless of the differences, you have a bad a__ machine. If I can swing it, I'm going to have a V Hammer sitting next to my 109. The styling and workmanship on the Victory's is second to none. The Ness boys, Arlen and Corey and Polaris deserve kudos for some awesome bikes.
