It's the standard Suzuki filter almost all of their bikes use. There are cross refs all over the 'Net.

You mean the special flat filter wrench? Picture is in owner's menual.

Make sure to order the exact part number as it appears in the manual, as the "standard" Suzi wrench has a female fitting on it and is too thick to fit on this bike.

Words cannot express how much Fram filters suck. The OEM one is probably as good as any out there...

I'm using the K&N filters. I had one that was intended for the 1400. The 17 MM nut on the end makes it a snap to install & Remove.

I bought the tool, it is a oil filter cap, paid $7.99 for it. It slips over the filter and I used a line or box end wrench to spin it free. There is no clearance to put a ratchet on there. Plus the manual states when you replace it to hand tight till seated and then tighten 2 more revolutions. Must be a really course thread pattern.

bought an oil filter from my dealer today. it's a suzuki OEM. can confirm the part number is: 16510-03g00
