I noticed some of you have posted that you have or have had an M50. I bought my wife a 2005 M50 and it has a ticking sound just off idle under load. I took it back to the dealer and of course they can't hear anything. Is this a characteristic of this bike or do I need to take it back again? Sorry for posting this here but I don't know anywhere else to post it. Thanks

My wife has an 06 C50, which is similar, I have not noticed any noises like that.

Had an 05 M50. I did not experience any type of ticking. Not sure of your mileage, maybe your valves need adjusted.

That's what I thought. It has 3600 miles but the dealer says the valves are not adjustable.

I bought this used from the dealer. No owner's manual.

I had an M50 for a year...it always had a slight ticking noise, took it to the dealer, and was told it was normal for these types of valves to do this until after the 2nd service or so. I wouldn't worry about it...
