Update: I decided to call these Morphers because they are stock pipes that "morph" into v-rod SuperTrapp pipes. :doorag: :super:

With all the baffle plates out I get some decel popping, with all the baffle plates in it sounds like stock pipes. I'm going to play around with it a little tomorrow and see if I can get it just right and I'm going to move the set valve where the big hole is abouve the pipe to try and clean it up a bit. All in all I'm very happy with this setup and too me it's the best set of pipes I've seen for the 109 but that's just me. :doorag:

This link has a 5 min. sound file of the Morphers :doorag: :super:

No I don't have the block off plates on but I have a set sitting here. I hope that fixes it. With the baffles out I was spinning the wheel in first an second like I was on wet leaves. :D. It sounds much better with them out too. :doorag:

I cut off about 8" of the Supertrap pipe so you could make them as long as you like. The muffler is a slip on but the other part is welded to the stock pipes. I had to cut them both loose to get it to work. Is a V-rod pipe but I don't have the part number or price right now. ::)

They look great L/M. The two into 1 is my choice (obviously) also. Paint job is wicked..congrats!

As for the decel popping..if you want a shortened version of the 'plate block off'.... (to correct this)..simply plug the breather hose to the 'filter box' and block off the spigot that that hose normally located on. Now when the PAIR solenoid is opened on decel..it gets no air! Tried it last night ..perfect...no decel popping at all..cheers, Greg
Cool. :doorag: :super:

Re: 109 SuperV-Rod Pipes?

I've been coming back and back to look at these pipes Lamont..I love the simplicity of them, lovely lines and a serious (bull dog looking) business end to them. They fit naturally to the bike like they were designed for it.
The fact that they are adjustable in noise level and power is a huge bonus. (Some of us like a quiet ride, if going any distance.)
Your job on the heatshields is excellent (did you have them rechromed?).
All in all, I think they are the NICEST pipes I've seen..(I've since seen your post with the header pipe hook up.....very tidy).
I like the classic lines of Big Joe's but think these shorties are more me.
My vote is these are best looking so far**** #1 *****....but the dyno rules and I'm a swinging vote if suitably impressed! :joke:

Wow... its amazing how fast the RPM's roll up on the No Baffle version! Impressive... It will be nice to see what kind of power that setup is making... Sounds very strong!

One word: Tach relocation. Okay, that's two words. But it's worth it if done right. Who makes that muffler?
