I put a set of JC Whitney Mirror Mount Chrm , Part #060517 and a set of Mean Streak Mirror Extenders $45 from MotoSpecialties.com on the bike and they have really made the mirrors functional. Now I have perfect use of the mirrors as opposed to just looking at my shoulders.

Yes the extenders move the mirror out and forward. The dampers add a little height. I have not tried them without the vibration dampers. The extenders came in black so they match my blk bike perfectly. I have a great view of the rear with these on. If you go to Motospecialties you can view a picture of the extenders.
