BRAILLE POKER RUN
Providing Insight Into Life Without Sight

CASH Prizes: Best Hand, Worst Hand, 50 / 50
ALL TYPE OF BIKES AND RIDING GROUPS ARE WELCOMED
What the Council Provides its Members:
Physical - twice monthly bowling, blind golf, fishing, tandem cycling, weekly exercise class.
Social - supper club that visits different restaurants, quarterly luncheons that include Bingo and an annual summer picnic.
Educational - computer training classes, outreach program visiting senior centers, retirement homes, churches to assist individuals who may be experiencing loss of vision for the first time. Provide training on accessible voting machines.
Financially - supplement members attendance at TPAC live narration programs and movie tickets to Opry Mills and Hollywood 27 where Your contributions will be used to continue and expand audio description is available. Provide scholarships to blind and visually impaired students. Reimburse Access Ride tickets for organized events. (Each ride cost 3.10)
Support- The council was instrumental in the implementation of an audio tour with tactile maps for the blind to use at Centennial Park. Make adaptive devices readily available for newly blinded persons. Representatives participate in both a State and Federal Legislative seminars where open discussion is held with elected leaders regarding important issues that impact the blind and visually impaired. Provide resource information and support to blinded persons and their families.
Your contributions will be used to continue and expand the many programs and services being provided by MTCB.
