Hey fellas.

So many people raving about the Metzeler tires here so I decided I will get them. Checking out Direct Line's site, I noticed the matching set for the 109 are not the same speed rating.

How is it wise or safe to use different-rated tires at the same time?

Why aren't the 130's for the front VR rated? Both tires are going the same speed!

Thanks!

I cant answer why they are not the same... Maybe they dont make them that way?
But I dont think it matters if you dont exceed the lowest limit...
I think a real issue would be radial VS bias ply tires.

Speed rating H or V, The tires have different rubber types and the V rated tire has a stronger sidewall to handel the
heat better. In other words if you ride your bike hard you can loose it on turns if tire are not the same rating  Be safe DO NOT TAKE ANY UNNEEDED CHANCES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :doorag:
