Anyone else find it strange the cycle mags haven't done a shootout yet between the newest brusier(M109r) and the others?Wonder whats up with that?I'm really curious as to how they rate it amoung the rest...but of course,,Its number one in my book.....
Compared to my previous cycles,,,,,vtx1800c,and a 04 marauder 1600...

I would imagine the publishers don't wanna do a shoot-out comparison just because one hot new bike came out on the market. I would give it about a year before they start doing good side-by-side multi-bike comparisons.

Besides, some of us have seen the light and we don't need a magazine article to tell us what we already know...

Patience, my man! The print industry is sloooow. I used to review audio gear for a living. It took about three months minimum from the time a unit was tested to when an article would hit the stands. (and another three months to get paid : )

The very early stuff that's appearing in magazines now (like the Motorcycle Cruiser cover story) is all based on pre-production NFR units which have long since met their fate in the crusher. Once mags get their hands on the real deal and can get 'er done, you will be seeing some good shootouts, I'm sure!

It takes a long time between the actual shootout and getting it into our hands in print... Everything we have read so far has come from last Octobers launch I believe. Now that the bikes are being delivered I would expect them to try and get a real article out as soon as possible.

The lead time on magazine articles can be a long time. The plan the space well in advance as they have a set number of pages to fill that is also dependent on how much ad space they sell.
