I read somewhere on here that someone was getting their jacket altered and couldn't remove the elbow pads. I just pulled my jacket out for the first time and was able to remove the elbow pads by 1st removing the back protector, then finding an access hole behind that. The elbow pads have a velcro attachment and come out through the hole the back protector is removed from. Hope this helps.

Hmmm.. that didn't seem to be the case for mine.. Does your jacket have stitching going all the way around the outline of the elbow and fore-arm armoring? Mine does and it does not slide within the jacket sleeve at all. When I get it back from alteration I will check it, but I was pretty certain it wasn't coming out and so was the guy doing the work on it.
