How much extra power will I have from the alternator, once I get my M109R?  I'd like to install some motolight driving lights, and occasionally power a heated vest.

You should be fine. I would put a relay on the lights. I have heated clothing on mine, stabler air horn and accessory lights and no problems.

Well, I'm not sure if this is even what you were looking for but;
In the Service Manual, it reads:

"Generator No-Load Performance"
-Disconnect the generator coupler
-Start the engine and keep it running at 5000 r/min.
-Using the multi-circuit tester, measure the voltage between three lead wires.
-If the tester reads under the specified value, replace the generator with a new one.
(Generator Data) - 70V (AC) and more at 5000 r/min (when engine is cold)

Not sure if that help at all. If not, I'm sure someone found this information fascinating. LOL
