I doubt you'll be happy with anything less then 2.25 as far as looks...although there's some evidence that 2" bones come out to 2.50 on the bike.....my suggestion, get the Yani Shanki adjustable bones and you can set them for the perfect looks and performance compromise. That's what I would have done if they were available when I had my 2.25's put in.

Just get the adjustable ones from RAW.
Then you can decide how low you like it.

Install is the same as fixed bones and it's easy
to adjust them. Might take you 10-15 minutes
to change heights.

Good points foo (long time btw bro, hope life is treating you well)

Lets not rule out an air ride. I personally have 2.25" lowering bones with my shock set on 5 (THANX ALBE!!! YOU ROCK!!!). It would be SOOOOOOOOOOO nice to have an adjustable air ride for those rough roads when i bottom my fatass out doing 45mph. Just a flip of the switch and you are a few inches higher for those back roads and pot holes.

That will probably be my next mod. If you need a good deal i have a great friend that can hook your ass up at a discount. If not, a good set of lowering bones is the trick bro. Takes less than two hours to install from start to finish, and that includes taking the back wheel off. It is faster if you don't, but I like being able to clearly see all the bolts i am jacking with.

Ride safe and let us know what you decide

The Yana Shiki 2" bones lower it closer to 2.5". Those are what mostly is sold on ebay. The DLP 2" bones look to lower it closer to the actual 2".

If you do the mod to your foot pegs that Pegasus did, you can get back most if not all of the cornering clearance you lose when you lower it. If you drop the back by 2" the pegs only drop about 3/4", maybe a little less. Unless your exhaust is hitting at the rear before the pegs do, this mod works well. I did it to mine and it not only helped with the peg dragging, it also makes it a lot more comfortable to ride as the angles of the pegs match your feet.

Here's his album pictures of it. Takes maybe 30 minutes to do both sides.

Here's a picture that shows how they look afterward. This is with the bolts screwed all the way in, I can loosen them and raise them more. Compare the angle of the foot pegs with the shifter and brake levers.

Good deal,

don't forget to trim/cut/shorten all the bolts under the rear fender, especially if you have your shock set at a softer level.

If not, the first good bottom out you achieve, will leave a few nice reminders in your rear tire that you missed a bolt.

I found out the hard way...

cheers...
