Ditto here! :beer2: Even the biker joints I hang out that are 95% HD, those HD boys are all over it. Great comments from all the HD gang. Except one guy who called it a V-Rod wanna be. There's always one in every crowd. :

V-ROD WANNABE ?

Why would a m109r want to drop down by 700cc, cost twice as much, and transport an idiot like that ?

I had one guy flag me down the other day and and ask questions about it and 10 minutes later I gassed up and another guy came over and asked questions. They all like it. One guy told me he's not into bikes but he really liked this one. Had many people roll down window and take a good look as they go buy. I see alot of harley riders on their bike look straight ahead when they go buy. Seems they are doing this :cus:.  What's up with that? LOL

Here's what I've noticed --

When I was riding a Suzuki C50, alot of Harley guys would run up beside, rev the pipes out good and loud, then just blow right on by.

Now, they run up, see the bike, slow waaaaaaaaaay down, and just quietly and politely slip in behind.

What's THAT all about???

Donna and I had just gassed up the other day and were leaving the station. There was a guy standing along side his Harley using his cell phone. After we got past him we were waiting for traffic before heading out on the highway. While we were stopped Donna, who was behind me, keyed the mike and told me that he was staring at my bike. Funny thing is that when he was in front of me he just glanced up, kinda shook his head, and turned away. It wasn't untill he was behind me that he decided to take a closer look .

I sometimes stop for coffee at this place where they serve pretty good joe. There's this guy on a little 1200 Sporty Custom that stops there a lot too. We sit out on the patio and chat sometimes.

So, last Saturday, I pull up on my bike. I say hey to Bill, we chat some... I can tell he is sneaking the tiniest looks out of the corner of his eye but doesn't say a word about the new bike. NOTHING.

I tell him I'm going inside to take a leak. After I enter, I turn around and spy out the window and he has made a fast beeline for the M109. Looking it over. Walking around it. Then getting down in one knee, looking up underneath, everything! I mean, giving the thing a real exam.

By the time I come out, he's sitting back in his seat, acting like nothing happened! It was all I could do to keep from busting out LMAO...

Did he at least wipe his drool off your bike? :hot:

Harley guy pulled alongside me while waiting in the line at traffic lights and said - Wots that!
I said its a Zuke. Astonished he exclaimed - Get f#?ked! and carried on lane splitting.
I took that as a real compliment.

Friend of mine who owns a 1500 heritage soft tail and I switched bikes for about 2 miles after work. He's an old gear gead like me. He was smiling ear to ear and kept mentioning the torque. He really loved it.

Just had to go look in the OLD archives. Looks like not much has changed since the first day the board opened. People still talking about Harleys and how the bike gets looks. Guess time does not change all things. We still get looks and talk about harleys.

This past weekend, I had two different people come into the restaurant to ask me what kind of bike that was. lol gotta lub it

Same happened to me one time. Had a guy ask what kind of HD it was.

Exactly. The 109 is what the V-Rod wants to be when it grows up!

It's okay to talk about HDs as long a you're maikng fun of them...

My orange 109 got tons of attention wherever I went. My C14, not so much. ^-^
