So, my slashdowns are only 2 feet too long. But that's my problem in Cobra's eyes. How about a mod to shorten the pipes and heatshields to what the picture looks like?

what do you think it would take? whizzer wheel? sawzall? both ?

I think once I get my new heatshield I want to plan my attack

I want to shorten the pipes and baffles ( that's if I even keep em in  ) but in doing so want to cut them as cleanly as possible so the tips will fit. No rechroming just cut and redrill holes for baffle and tip screws.

sounds too easy, there's got to be a catch....... Maybe a plumbers pipe cutting tool with tons of tape to keep the pipe from getting scratched where the rollers touch. you know the ones they use to cut copper water lines...Only I would need a huge one.

I would think the Plasma would heat up the metal too much and blue the chrome...right?

Tape up the spot of the cut real good and use cutting lubericant and a chop saw with a metal blade...it'll work and you can even put your own angle cuts if you want. :D
