I am definently gonna be there at least on Saturday during that weekend. I only live 30 minutes away so if anybody wants to take a ride to my house (awesome roads on the way) I could do some BBQ.

This is a big enough deal that hopefully we can get more than just guys from Missouri to show up. I know that it will be mostly harleys there and there will be lots of drunken debauchery but that doesn't mean we can't have a good time and still get some good riding in. I know a lot of the back roads in the area and we could stay away from the big crowds if we wanted to. And if anyone wants to try and set up a rental house instead of staying at a hotel you can check these links.

Yeah, I don't see a reason why I shouldn't go to this at least on Saturday!

Thanks for posting that up Joe! I might just have to do this instead of the Bikes Blues & BBQ in Fayetteville, AR later in September.
Depends on what I can talk some friends into.

Ya know, the more that I look at this, the more that I think that I'll do this rather than Bikes Blues & BBQ. Just because it's closer to where I'm living.

However, I'm wondering if they'll have demo rides like they have in Fayetteville. That is one of the things that I really enjoy about BB&BBQ...

I can check, there is a yamaha, suzuki, victory, and Harley dealer right there in Osage Beach, and I know the owner of the Suzuki/Victory dealership. I will give him a call to see if there is anything planned.

Darn the Bad Luck

I would love to go to this. Didn't realize they even had this. Too Bad I will be in Oklahoma City during that time frame, with no chance of coming home on the weekend. Oh well, there's always next year.:dontknow:

For those who would like to come by my house for some BBQ here are the directions.

If anyone has any questions let me know. I live on Reward Rd which isn't on most maps. On Hwy T approximately 8 miles south of Swedeborg (where you turn south on Hwy T off of 133) you will see a subdivision on the right (west side of Hwy T) called Taylor Hills. Just turn in and go past the playground and our house is the third on the left (tan siding with maroon shutters) I live 5 minutes North of I-44 so getting back on the road to head home should be easy for most of you who make the trip.

The directions say 1 hour and 8 minutes but I have made the trip in 30 minutes more than once. Even at a leisurely pace you can do it in 45.

Trish, Rich,

You know the deal, I've made the first 3, can't stop now. The bands at the Horny Toad are always pretty good (and FREE).

Hope you 2 can make it up, the wife wants to meet "The people that babysit me" in AR.

Joe

We just got back from a full week in Co, so our finances were pretty tapped out...

Then the 109 broke down on me (Crank Pos Sensor), and my dog ended up with a $600 vet bill... so we are in "Recovery mode"...

but like I said, we'll try and make it out... all depends on how crazy the hotel bill is... (Gas for the trip won't be a big deal)

Hey Rich (or any other VETS for that matter) you might check out LORA (Lake of the Ozarks recreation area) not sure if you still have a DOD ID card, but if you do this place will save you some cash (the cabins are dirt cheap). It is on the quiet side of the lake but if you just want a place to crash it will get the job done.
