sorry to hear that. it sucks when you get some poor quality products and have to wait while you send them back especially in your case since it is so far and expensive. hope you get it worked out.

maybe contact kewl metal and/or bruno's and see if they will refund or reimburse you for their the shipping costs? :dontknow:

i understand that kewl metal makes the product, but bruno's can be just as easily to blame since they should have checked the condition of the items before shipping them out.

I know what you're talking about. I bought a set of their mirror extenders back in July (09) Less than 2800 miles later the front sides are pitting bad.
I like the style and design of these. Thinking about sending them out to get rechromed.
Anyone else have problems with their Kewel Metal products?

i have the fork covers and they look great.
yeah ive had 3 sets of fork covers and no issue, i think is because there steel under the chrome??, but the tach mount and risers are chromed onto alloy,im not talking a bit of pitting here in talking f...ed, i know people have said just get them rechromed but its not that easy over here in the uk, theres some kind of law against chroming alloy something about the emmissions it gives of or something, anyway im pretty much stuck!!???

Jem,

When my powder coater was pulling the tape off the holes in my kewl metal risers after painting, the chrome started flaking off. When I got them they looked very good. Very deceiving.

Of course, my Cycle House kickstand and levers did the same thing. The "chrome" they are putting on their products, is a joke.

I'd as soon, buy the products in a raw metal state and at a cheaper price, then finish how I want.

I feel your pain, man....

I had to send back 3 sets of RIVCO RISERS because of blemishes on the chrome in some spots but they kept on sending them until i was satisfied with a set, And the chrome is really really great quality.
