Hey all, just got back from the 1/4 mile track in Tulsa...  I met BlkM109r and one of his buddies out there. Man what a blast!
(Thanks for meeting me out there BlkM109r)

So here are my times...   :D

Run          1            2            3           4

R/T        .570       .537       .632       .098

60'        1.891     1.928    1.907     1.890

330       5.065     5.152    5.083     5.041

1/8        7.753     7.844    7.787     7.729

1/4       12.181   12.267  12.259   12.254

MPH     109.62   109.36  109.20   105.36

Notes:
1st run Solid run with good shifts, took it easy on the launch (first time on a track)

2nd Run, Reaction time sucked, got too aggressive on the launch and wheelied :yikes: , good shifts.

3rd Run, Reaction time sucked, worried too much about wheelieing again  :dontknow: This time BlkM109r wheelied...  :yikes:

4th Run, Lined up against a V-Rod  :D Great reaction time (I figured out when on the tree to launch), feathered the clutch too much(Could have given it more), missed the shift into 4th... :redfaced:  twice...   :redfaced:

The good news on the 4th run is even after missing the shift to 4th twice  :redfaced: I still beat the V-Rod...  :D
He ran a 12.37 1/4 @ 107.44 mph with a .026 R/T

So... all you track experts.... how do my times look?? How is 109Mph for a 1/4 speed??
Any tips??

Re: Just got back from the Drag strip.... Had a chance to run a V-rod

I'm renting a Vrod tomorrow for a 340 mile ride. I look forward to comparing it to my 109.

Re: Just got back from the Drag strip.... Had a chance to run a V-rod

hey guys, sorry it took so long to chime in. took the wife and kids to dinner and now I'm editing the video which I'll try to post shortly, once I figure it out. ::)
Let me say it was very fun. First time running on a track for both of us so a few flubs, but it was just about having fun for me and seeing what the bikes will do. Mine is stock except JSD and debaffled pipes so we proved having an air kit and PCIII adds ( or is it subtracts? ) at least a half second from your time . JUtah was consistently .5 secs faster than me. I was 12.7 every time except when i wheelied and missed 2nd gear(run 3) :redfaced:
here are my time slips and a couple of pics below. Videos coming soon!

    1st run       2nd run      3rd run      4th run

Very cool!
I can believe the Vrod guy was racing in a short sleeve shirt!

Sledzep
He wasn't... he just had a Tan and White jacket if I remember correctly, just looks sleeveless. Track mandated Leather, or Textile jackets for any racers. And leather pants for any bike under 10.99

Absolutely... that was a whoooooooooooooooole lot of fun!

Only problem is I have to drive about 2 hours to get to the track and the 40deg ride home when the sun had set was a bear!

Lamont, yeah that sportbike ran a 9.94  It looked like my son-in-laws GSX-R1000 but couldn´t see it exactly but I know his bike hauls a$$. He is only 31 now (son-in-law) and he says he could imagine his next bike will be a M109 ;)
