well the weather sucked the whole week i was at lake george .the high point was when i parked my black beauty on the main strip and the people didn't stop coming over to the bike and scratching there heads and asking what is was?
i only saw 2 other 109's there not including Lamont's and Hal's 1 black and 1 silver the guy in the black was riding with his girl and she rode a honda 959rr by the way very nice people and no disrespect but she was a hottie i went to see lamont and hal over at the vendors tent and shot the sh#t for a while .and i gotta tell ya lamont has some great mods comming .i met lamont back in 2000 and for those of you who never saw his valk this thing was sick it was a hell of a bike so i can't wait to see what he comes up with
PS i seen the corbin seat it comes heated or none heated for 539 .00 or 499.00 and i gotta tell you i wasn't impressed with it at least not for 500.00 buck one thing i noticed about the stock seat i rode a total of 1257 miles this week and not once did i get that numbing feeling on my but i used to get with my valk before i got the corbin

Hey Sixshooter....I saw the Corbin seat that Lamont posted. It looks like the stock seat dressed in leather. Not impressed at all and for that money I am not interested. I'm going to wait out Mustang and see what they offer.

I just got back from Americade, Arrived at 2:30am Friday morning. Checked out the Corbin seat they had mounted on a silver 109R, Nice but at $500 unheated.....I like my seat the way it is anyways. Sorry to have missed the Lamont, Saw one silver M109R riding around but could not get together to swap stories.

ANYWAY....headed over to the HD tent for a Vrod niterod and Screaming Eagle test ride. Just my opinion follows:
I thought the Vrod was OK but I just love the Suzuki's period. I did like the turn signals, separate left and right switches with auto off. My opinion was we could easily beat this bike. The Screaming Eagle was a much better match but was not as comfortable as the M109R. We were on an escorted demo route that brought us to a long entrance ramp to the highway. The Screaming Eagle for (what its worth) tank slapped a bit at 85 but smoothed out at 90 to my top speed of 105, then I slowed. I spoke to the in-house racer about this and they would look into the bike but it was explained that a whole lot of factors went into this to happen. Oh well, I am completely satisfied I made the best decision. After the demos I took my M109R on the same course and it is just a my smoother rider was just best all around for me. I enjoed the rally...rain and all but I did bring my 5th wheel toyhauler. JOHN

P.s. The M109R turned heads and stopped people in there tracks one Harley guy made some stroking gesture that suggested I made a good buy with the M109R. I still didn't get the Chicks though; Must be a personal thing.
