Wider tires can not/will not make a bike handle better. Wider tires are also going to be heavier , increasing unsprung weight , making suspension less responsive.
Noone argues that statement in general.
It applies differently, depending on weight
of the bike and road conditions that bike
rides on, and that is essential, IMHO...

That is my thinking behind it. My turning arc will be wider with a wider tire. We are already sacrificing handling with a 240 and I’ve gone to the 260 so I’m even more disadvantaged. Like I said, I will try the Avon 130 and if I don’t like it then I may consider other options. I’m sure any non factory tire will feel better than the standard tire lol
