Thanks to both Carlos Santiago & ICEBOX for the collaboration and info. on getting this done!

Also to Glen from Alternative Bike Works here in Barnesville, GA on the welding.
  • I cut 10-3/4" off both pipes.
  • Fully gutted tips were rewelded back on.
  • We cut the inner mounting clips off the chrome cover plates so that we could move them back about 1/4" to cover the new welds.
  • We then tack welded the cover plates back on.
  • We then added a L-Bracket to the bottom pipe and welded it to the cut exhaust mounting bracket for increased strength.
Overall I'm very happy with the look & sound of the pipes.

To me the shorter pipes accomplish the following:
  1. Open's up the view of the fat rear tire.
  2. Makes for a sportier & meaner overall look.
  3. Increases the sound to match the bikes look as well.
