Sled. Are you really interested in doing a pipe similar to JR's 2 into 1? I've been working up to it and am pretty sure I am going to try. I'm not capable of doing the work myself. I don't weld and really don't have the tools for it. However I know a guy I used to work with that is an airframe welder and fabricator. I know for sure he could do it. My only concern is he probably won't work cheap.sledzep01 said:I dont know what a fair price would be, but I know I want em and cant make em.
Well, I am reallyu interested. We just need to find out what "probably wont work cheap means" I mean we will be supplying all of the metal.... and the exhaust.... I certainly expect someone who does it to get paid what they feel they deserve. As long as I can afford it.jazzman said:Sled. Are you really interested in doing a pipe similar to JR's 2 into 1? Yeah, I tried that today with a couple of different shops and I must tell you, after talking with them(which they had no idea what I was trying to tell them) I decided that I will wait untill somebody knows what is going on before they even consider touching my pipes.bad109 said:just remove the heat shields, buy the muffler you want, and drive the bike up to the local muffler shop.
Lets not forget this guy http://www.m109riders.com/forum/index.php?topic=464.0JRs DAD said:Don't misunderstand, JR.....you can do what ever you want,,,,,but, since you came up with this idea, everybody and his uncle Tanoose either wants it.....or has tried it.....so, think before you deside what to do.
How much more power than stock? can you post something to show?J R said:No we are talking about pipes that actually make power 8) not make less power then stock cutting the capacity of the stock ex in half : : : Different thing altogether. Im not the one on here copying anything or asking for advice from anyone..... I post about 1 /10 of what I do to my bike and most of the time when i do its been done a long time before i post it if i do at all...for all you know my pipes where cut the second day I ever had the thing.Diffrence in me and others is I only post somthing that works and I know works thru testing.Welding a pipe on the end of the stock exh any moron can do.Making it make more power actually takes a brain and testing over and over.If this pipe mod is not done right you WILL lose power or stay about the same as stock.
