Greetings and Happy Sunday all. I am waiting for my 2023 M109R and need some input/suggestions/opinions on an integrated rear taillight. I searced the forums and couldn't find anything too current. Some of the older links to products are now no good. The brightness is my main concern, clear vs smoked doesn't matter to me. I have a fender eliminator ordered, so I will have other turn signals as well. The ability to be seen is my priority. I sure appreciate it, ride safe.

Welcome to the forum. I don't know who is making a good integrated light anymore, but I know just from here that a lot of the imported stuff is junk. Hopefully someone that has used them can jump in and tell you a good one to get.

If you want to be seen, don't get an integrated taillight. The OEM tail/brake light is quite bright, as are the OEM signals. I have added a strobing brake light that is extremely bright and eye catching. Whalen is the brand of one of these light, but there are other brands that are less expensive.

I don't have a photo of my bike handy, but here's one I mounted on my friend's Nine

I also installed these bullet shaped LED lights as taillights. They are very bright and give the bike a wide stance from behind.

If you are dead set on getting an integrated tail light, its best to spend the money and get the Revo integrated tail light. (The ones on Amazon and Ebay are junk)

But honestly (IMHO) you would be better off leaving the stock tail light and adding a stealth type strip turn signal under the fender if you plan on deleting the beaver tail and stock signals. You may also want to consider relocating the tag bracket down to the axel (final drive area) if you delete the rear end.
There are quite a few different ones to choose from but here are a couple of links. (The cheap ones on Amazon & EBay are usually junk with this part as well)

And if you really want to get noticed when braking you can add a BackOff brake light modulator module to the brake light circuit of your stock tail light.

That's exactly what I did. After trying one of the integrated lights and having my wife almost run into me when she couldn't see the turn signal because the sun was shining on it, it came off and a real LE clear light went on, along with the Revo under tail strip for the turns. Looks good, and more importantly, it functions well.

I have installed just about all of them. In terms of quality, they are all junk, except the Revo version. Most have the wiring wrong, and then they don't last long as the led lights start to go out. However, as stated above, they are not good for safety. I have followed a couple of my customers that we installed the Revo version and we could barely see the lights on in the sun when using the blinkers. I told them they needed to add signals for safety, which defeats the purpose. I now recommend to keep the stock tail light and get the curved turn signals that reside under the rear fender. Keeps it clean, but safe.
