When comparing insurance rates, we all have to remember that rates differ depending upon where you will be riding the MC at. Our insurance in Central Florida is fairly high due to the number of crashes and thefts. My rates would theoretically be different from someone riding in the rural parts of the panhandle. Just my $.02.

I pay 89 a month for my 9 through state farm. I am married, but I do not own my home, and I am under 25.

That is with:
Bodily injury liability $100,000/300,000
underinsured $50,000/100,000
property damage $100,000
medcal $10,000
uninsured bodily $100,000/300,000
uninsured property $100,000
comprehensive deductable of $50
collision deductable of $25

It is probably more than I need, but for 89 a month... I have piece of mind. These are pretty good rates considering both my Wife and I are on the policy, I have 11 points on my license and my wife had an at fault accident about 2 years ago.

If you want my agent's number, let me know. ;)

...to Canadian Guys,

Would appreciate an agent tel to get a quote from JevCo. Please kindly advise.

I am 36 with M2 license, been licensed for a year.
Got a quote from Wawanesa CAN1,950 for my M109R - full coverage.
State Farm is quoting CAN2,239 or will drop to 1,364 if I was to switch my car as well.

Mine was 288 last year thru GEICO. Just got my renewal and its over 583. I had an accident last Sept and totaled my first 9. My fault too. Guess thats their way of getting their money back. Time to shop around.

I have read alot about insurance for cars and motorcycle, Everyone lists their price but they never list their city/zip and age those are two huge factors especially in California. Might be easier for people to figure out what they should be paying in their area if they know what age bracket and zip code to look in.

For me for a gsxr 600 they want 2,400 a year I am 24 and live in sacramento so my rates are kinda crappy right now it seems :( That was with progressive btw.

Progressive = the shaft. :)

I live in 80128 at the age of 22. I am 1 point shy of a suspended license, and dont own my home. I was going to buy a 600 and they wanted 5500 for the insurance. Amfam offered me the same insurance for 2200... I went with a 9. :p

Insurance is a total ripoff. Progressive increased my rate for my bike insurance for no other reason than the fact that I took out a new auto loan, back in July 07 mind you. I canceled right away and went to Geico. I just got a renewal notice today for my cars and they're trying to raise it for the same reason. How does my taking out a loan for a car have any affect on the likelihood of me having an accident? I've already got a quote and will be moving my cars to Geico as well. I've never had an accident, heck, I haven't had a violation since 01. My credit score is 700+! This is just stupid!
