I have been looking at all the mods everyone has done over the winter and holy :edit:.. With most of my money being allocated to the upcoming surgery on my dogs leg, once again the mods I want to do will have to wait another year. I will be riding basically stock to the annual meet and all summer.. If the 109, even with limited mods was not all ready styling, I am not sure I can handle the embarrassment.. Please take it easy with the ridicule if you see my riding this summer, because I am fragile and I cry easy:':)'(..

Well most folks think 109's are custom jobs anyway....so dont sweat it. My mod money is being dumped into a cross country ride at the end of the month...Chrome rims have been put on hold because of trip...Still have green light on pipes but that has to wait until after trip and the verdict on the new cobra pipes.

It's not about how many mods you have or how much money you have spent on your bike. It is about riding and friendship and having fun together. I went last year and the group was great!!!! My bike was stock compared to many at the group but that was fine because everybody saw something on the bikes they wanted to do and got some great ideas. I was really amazed at how many did there own fabing, welding and custom work, I was jealous of there skills but not the bikes. Hope to meet you in VA in June.

I ran into a friend the other day who loved my bike. He has a Harley Softail and told me he spent money on it to upgrade. He said the stock HP was 62( I think he said 1583cc). He took it to a custom shop and they bumped it up to 100HP. He never said how much it cost. He asked me how many horses my bike was and I told him around 120HP stock. He was shocked.

Got to love it...

I love my bike but my dog always comes first.
I hope someday to become the person my dog thinks I am. :joke:

Heck, doing mods just takes up riding time. I mod when I can't ride, and if I don't feel like it I don't mod even then. The bike is a great bike stock.

And look at it this way, if you're around a bunch of modded bikes yours starts looking more custom. :D
