I read a post on this but cannot find it. Yesterday I had the same problem. I put my 9 in an enclosed small trailer at work because I work with a d==k that won`t leave **** alone. It was 105 degress yesterday. When I got my 9 out it was so hot you couldn`t touch the tank. Started the bike and it wouldn`t run. Finally got it started and it idled high. Pulled in the shop and let it cool off a couple minutes and decided to pop the gas lid. had alot of pressure on it, started the 9 and it idled fine. I guess the vent wasn`t working well enough? Just wanted to let people know that the heat will affect the idle.

Last summer I rode my black 9 in the FL. heat for about 80 miles then parked it in the sun for a few hours. It started up ok but then it started running like crap. I opened the gas cap to relieve the pressure and it cleared up. Something to keep in mind if anyone has similar issues.
