Putting some bungee anchor nuts was one of the first things I did. I would recommend either covering the seat cowl with a piece of clear paint protecting film that's out there OR carry a piece of rubber mat to put between the seat cowl and whatever you are strapping down as the seat cowl WILL scratch pretty easily. (Voice of experience)

I think he's planning on putting the passenger seat back on for the trip.
