Hey there I got a 2007 M109R about 5 months ago now and have been enjoying the heck out of it so far.. few questions though…

what’s a good height to raise the bars to? I was thinking about some 12 inch apes but with the seat lower that would put me reaching like 15-16 maybe on a regular bike… does anybody have apes and pixs here..??? Would also like to know size of apes and how long ya had to go on the cables…

second: I only get about 25- 30 MPG on this bike. I read where guys are getting 40-60… I know my riding style has a lot to do with it and I’ll always get a little less then normal but this just don’t seem right at all…it does have one of the tuner deals on it which I have no clue if that thing even works but I need to get it to a shop and have all that checked out..

Thank y’all for info on page learned a few things this morning… and thanks for allowing me to join….

Welcome to the board. Glad that you are enjoying your bike. I have heard of some who installed apes on their Nines. Perhaps by doing a search on the forum you will find specific information. I had a 2006 M109R and consistently got 40 or a little less MPG. With my 2013, I get just over 40 MPG. Aggressive riding, dragging brake(s), soft tires, worn plugs, clogged air filter, low compression, are some of the causes of poor fuel mileage.

@Some9 has installed several sets of apes on M109Rs. You might reach out to him for info.
