Hello! Im Dave from CT. I love Suzuki and I’m picking up my new blue 2023 M109R this Friday. The dealer is receiving the crate and assembling the bike on Thursday. I am super excited. Im not a newbie to bikes. I do all of the work and maintenance myself. Ive had lots of bikes but currently have 2008 gsxr600 dedicated track bike, 2017 gsxr1000 mostly street some track, and a 2008 boulevard C50T limited edition. I mostly ride at the track doing at least 15 days per year but I’m looking forward to more street riding this year. Looking forward to being here and learning more!

Welcome. Must be exciting to get a brand new one.

Pics are coming. Here are my current bikes to hold you over. All Suzuki, which is another reason that I wanted the M109R. That is my track pup Ruby sitting on the Boulevard which is a great bike.

It's definitely going to be a change for you. My wife has a C50T and it's a good bike, I even like taking it for a spin once in a while. The 9 is not going to hold a candle to the GSXR1000, but it's still plenty powerful. And more comfortable to ride.

Here it is. Overall Im happy. Somehow the clown mechanics managed to destroy the handlebars with scratches and just about everything plastic with gloss black paint is scratched up. They are getting me new bars and other parts to replace so we shall see how that goes. Is the paint really soft on those parts or something? I just finished removing the reflectors and passenger pegs so day 1 standard mods are done. I did not get an owners manual. Is the bike supposed to have one?

That's a great looking bike, one of my favorite color combos. The paint on these isn't exceptionally soft, but it is pretty thin. I hate to hear they did so much damage just uncrating and assembling it, but I'm also glad they are going to replace the parts. Hopefully they can do better with these.

I bought two nines, one in canada and one in Europe,
both came with the owners manual. BTW, I see you got
the rear cowl, did you get the rear seat as you should?
I asked them about the rear seat too! I did not know if it came with one. It has passenger pegs and no back seat??? I need to go back there and get stuff. I know it should have an owners manual

Absolutely they come with both the rear seat and the rear cowl, plus the owner's manual. They must not have delivered very many of these if they didn't give you all those items, plus the damage putting it together. Unbelievable.

Those clowns found the owners manual and admitted there is a seat. Thanks. Otherwise I would have not known about the seat. This is not going to end well. I can already tell. They are telling me today. “We’ll see what suzuki says about the cowl.” They are dodging now. There is way more than just the cowl. And they told me theyd get the parts but now they are acting different. Im not sure what Im going to do. Is there a contact at the Suzuki corporate?
Sorry if I forgot to update. Lots of scratches on the bike when i picked it up. The handlebars are gouged and just about all the black gloss painted plastic pieces are scratched like they wiped it down with a rag off the floor. This was a real terrible experience. They said they would replace the parts and now saying lets see what suzuki says like it wasnt their mechanic that scratched it up. If it even matters somehow. They said they would replace the parts, so why does suzuki matter to me? It really has nothing to do with suzuki.
Well that's a shame. Is this a large dealer? And the pics you took of it in the crate, can you zoom enough on them to see if the scratches were they before they got their hands on it?

I don't know of a contact at Suzuki corporate. Back when folks were complaining about clutch shudder and 2nd gear problems and other things, I don't recall of anyone getting a contact for them.

Thanks for the link. I did find it earlier and it sounds like Suzuki would be very helpful. It sounds like a phone call, pictures, names, timelines, and documentation by email as well as physical mail is what they would like. Its going to be my backup. Im going to give them a chance to make it right. I mean the parts would not cost the dealer much. I wish they would be proactive. Im in business myself and when I make a mistake, first thing to do is admit it and second is to make it right.

I dont believe the scratches were there in the crate. Plus the pictures were from one of the salesmen, his pictures were terrible. The dealer has been getting smaller over the past ten years going from a handful of locations including one very huge location in Plainfield, CT and now they are down to 2 locations. The one near me is pretty good size. They have 20 dirtbikes. 30 street bikes and jet skis, can am reverse trikes, four wheelers, Quite a bit of stuff. The owner has been good so far but im quite worried.
