i'm thinking about painting the chrome piece on my headlight because it's the second one that i've bought and no matter how much i baby it around it still gets sctatched up. i was thinking about spraying it black with a clear top coat.do any of you guys have any pictures or ideas on what type of paint would work and if you think black would look good on burple color bike? or maybe just painting the chrome piece burple color to match the rest of the cowl? thanks for any input!

I paid my local body shop $100 to do it for me. It came out GREAT.

I don't think if you have a black 9 and you want to paint the cowl black that it wouldn't even show that there is no blue metallic in it i mean by eye and being such a small area you'll be fine i think.

That's what I'm gonna do with mine. I thought about repalcing it, but it'll just keep getting messed up. It's located in a place that gets a lot of abuse (bugs, rocks, etc).

Or you could paint it with the factory paint that has the blue flake in it....

If you order the Pearl Nebular Black it would match perfectly, blue metallic flecks and all...that's Suzuki's factory paint.

Was that with a rattle can or did it get sprayed with a professional gun?
It was shot with a regular paint gun and paint that was mixed by Matrix Paint Systems. We painted the whole headlight assembly just to make sure that the color matched. Wiles426 is at work so I thought I would answer for him.
