As mentioned in another thread, here in the south, there is a ton of sand on the roads. It's hot as hell making a full face helmet (KBC VR2) feel like an oven. Riding without a lid is not the best idea for Houston rush hour commuting. I'm looking for something that will provide enough face protection to keep you from feeling like you getting sand blasted while wearing a half shell or open face helmet. I found these....has anyone ever used one? http://www.respro.com/sportsleisure_street.php
I know what ya mean phreakshow. I travel from Fort Worth to Dallas and back every day going to and from work on some of our worst highways and my gf always askes why I wear a thin (well worn) blue jean jacket when it's so hot out. I told her because of all the grit and little rocks and crap. It hurts after getting peppered by that stuff. I thought about trying a bandanna kinda cowboy style but I think that will flap around too much at speed. I may have to check out one of those.
